Former Boise State distance runner Allie Ostrander has been named the Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year.

Ostrander, who recently graduated Boise State, becomes the first student athlete, male or female, to win the award three times in league history!

This past season Ostrander won her third straight NCAA National 3,000 Meter Steeplechase title the first women in NCAA history to accomplish a three peat in any NCAA event.

She also set the Mountain West indoor record for the 5,000 meter run and posted the fastest time in the Steeplechase of 9:37.73.

Ostrander graduated with a 4.0 GPA in kinesiology and was an academic All-American to go with her All American Athletic status.
