Bogus Basin Terrain Park Open

Thanks to new snowmaking equipment the Bogus Basin terrain park opened for the season today.

The park features rails, jumps and other features for skiers and snowboarders to challenge their skills. This is the earliest opening ever and it's all thanks to 24 snow guns that have been operating for a couple of the weeks thanks to a cold late October spell.

The terrain park has always opened before any other ski related activities but this a record early opening thanks to a couple of feet of made made snow.

Bogus Basin is hoping to open for regular skiing December 7th, They've been making snow all along the Deerpoint trail and with a little help from mother nature, there's hope for skiing over Thanksgiving weekend but right now that's just wishful thinking.

The terrain park is located at the base of Bogus Basin near the lodge and skiers can use the Explorer Surface lift.
