The Boise Hawks close out the 2019 season tonight hosting the Hillsboro Hops at 7:15pm in Memorial Stadium.

The Hawks beat the Hops Sunday 6-4 as Jacob Wallace logged his NW League leading 12th save of the year. Quite the accomplishment being on a team with a 27-48 overall record, the worst in the NW League.

As a short-season Class "A" team the Hawks are primarily concerned with player development but the wins are always an indication there is some development.

When you look to the parent cub the Colorado Rockies and see they are 29 1/2 games begins the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West, there doesn't seem to be much development on the horizon.

None-the less the Boise Hawks management has done a great job making sure fans at the game have fun, win or lose, they get the full minor league experience.

That will happen again tonight for one last time in 2019. If you haven't made it to the ball park this season it's your last chance to catch the hawks in person, first pitch 7:15pm.
