It's as much tradition as Turkey on Thanksgiving, the Boise Hawks seem to disappear into oblivion every year at this time.

Mostly because of a 17 day road trip dictated by the arrival of the Western Idaho Fair but exacerbated this season by some serious struggles on the field.

Obviously short season singe "A" baseball is more about development than wins but wins have a tendency to keep the fans and media interested and that is juts not the case this season.

The Hawks have lost 10 of their last 11 games including a 5-4 loss last night at Tri-Cities when the Dust Devils scored in the bottom of the 9th of a 4-4 tie.

Boise is now 25-45 overall this year, the worst record in the NW League with a win percentage of .367.

The Hawks parent club the Colorado Rockies aren't much better at .447 win clip or 59-73.

The Boise Hawks will finally return home August 31st for a three game season closing series against the Hillsboro Hops and game one of the series will be directly against the Boise State-Florida State football game.

That's just the way this season has gone!
