Once again Boise State sophomore distance runner Allie Ostrander was putting her stamp on the 3000 meter Steeplechase at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Ostrander, the defending NCAA National Steeplechase Champion won her qualifying heat with a time of 9:45.99 and will be the favorite in the field of 12 for the final tomorrow.

Ostrander says there is something special about the track at Hayward field in Eugene. The history she claims is inspirational.

Ostrander is one of five Bronco female athletes competing in the NCAA meet, that's the most individual athletes representing any school in the country.
