As we approach championship weekend, the College Football Playoff Committee has released their second to last rankings. The final rankings will be released on December 7th, thus deciding the four teams that will take part in the first ever College Football Playoff.

Boise State moves up from 23 to 22 in latest rankings released this evening. They are still in control of their New Year’s Six fate, having dominated Utah State last Saturday, 50-19. They got some help from a Marshall loss last week, as well as a Colorado State loss. The Broncos punched their ticket to the Mountain West Championship with the win and will face Fresno State for the second time on the blue. The Mountain West Championship will be televised on CBS, Saturday December 6th, at 8:00pm from Albertsons Stadium.

Boise State is currently the highest-ranking non-power conference team and with a win on Saturday will likely represent the “Group of Five” in a major bowl game.

Here are the complete rankings:

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Florida State
5. Ohio State
6. Baylor
7. Arizona
8. Michigan State
9. Kansas State
