At least for one night we know the difference between a Mustang and a Bronco is shooting ability!

The Boise State Broncos couldn't buy a bucket Monday night in Dallas and the SMU Mustangs couldn't miss as SMU beat Boise State 86-63.

The Broncos missed each of their first 9 three point attempts going 2 for 14 in the first half and 10 for 32 in the game. Knocking down three point shots is what BSU is all about but last night was just one of those nights. Wide open three's weren't finding net for Boise State but they were falling for SMU.

In fact, most of the SMU shots were falling, 59% from the field and 50% from three point land.

Boise State struggled to score 22 points in the first half as without the threes dropping, SMU was a hard team to drive on, taking that part of the Broncos game pretty much out of the attack.

Chandler Hutchison scored a BSU best 18 points with six rebounds. The Broncos finish their non-conference schedule with an impressive 10-2 mark and given the fact SMU has also beaten Arizona and USC this season it was a road loss with very little downside in regards to overall RPI rating.

By the way, Boise State and SMU have played 11 times overall with SMU now leading the series 6-5.

Boise State is idle until December 27th when they open the conference season against Colorado State.
