Curtis Weaver on Bednarik Watch List

Boise State linebacker Curtis Weaver has been named to the Bednarik Watch list awarded to college footballs best defensive player.

In two seasons Weaver already has 20.5 sacks and that ranks sixth on Boise States all time list, tied with Shea McClellin. Weaver needs just three more sacks to move into third place.

Number 99 is one of eight Mountain West players named to the Bednarik Watch list by the Maxwell Football Club. Semifinalists will be named October 29 and the national winner will be tabbed during the College Football Awards Show December 12.

Already this preseason Weaver has been named Sporting News and Athlon Sports second and fourth team All-American respectively.

Boise State opens the 2019 season August 31st against Florida State in Jacksonville.
