Florida State Has The Early Edge in Jacksonville

Granted its way early but then again August 31st will be here before you know it and college football will kick off with a bang as Boise State and Florida State collide in Jacksonville, Florida at the home of the NFL Jaguars.

Florida State fans have already bought 30,000 tickets which enforces the fact this is not a neutral site game, it's a Seminole home game.

Then you have the ESPN match up predictor that has Florida State a 71.3% to 28.7% favorite to win.

All this and neither team has held an official practice, heck Boise State hasn't even named a starting quarterback and media days are still two weeks away for both conferences.

I think part of the early interest are the colors blue and orange. Think about it, those are the same colors as the Florida Gators, FSU's in-state rival. If you've ever watched the fans at a Florida football game, they're dressed just like Bronco fans!

That alone is enough to get the Florida State juices flowing. If nothing else, the early noise this game is making will be a giant roar by kickoff.

So enjoy the dog days of summer because before long we'll be chest deep in football debates from rabid BSU and FSU faithful that will light up twitter and face book.

Quite frankly, I can't wait!
