Former Boise State golfer Graham DeLaet had a chance in the final round of the PGA Safeway Open on Sunday. Following steady rounds of 69-67-69 DeLaet was on course to win the 6.2 million dollar PGA event but a final round 72 left him four shows off the pace of winner Brendan Steele.

DeLaet finished at 11 under par 277 following his final round of even par 72. Delaet finished one stroke behind Phil Mickelson who closed with a two under par 70 to win $359,600. If you are counting, that one stroke was worth $124,000.

Steele by the way won $1.16 million.
