The last time a football game was a complete sellout at Holt arena in Pocatello was 1984. That was 34 years ago and for all I can remember Holt arena was still called the Mini Dome.

What's all the fuss about? First of all Idaho State is winning. The Bengals are 3-1 with their only loss coming at Cal of the Pac-12. Idaho State has Big Sky wins over Northern Arizona and North Dakota. North Dakota was ranked 22nd in the FCS polls when ISU knocked them off in Fargo.

The second sellout factor is the Idaho Vandals and their return to the Big Sky Conference.. Newcomers to the valley probably don't know but at one time Boise State, Idaho and Idaho State were all members of the Big Sky Conference.

Idaho and Idaho State haven't played in Pocatello since 1997 and haven't played a conference game since 1995.

Yes it's been a long time but memories are short and it hasn't taken long for Idaho State fans to remember how much they don't like the Idaho Vandals. Just for the record, Bengal fans hate Boise State even more!

For now Idaho will do just fine and with the Bengals actually favored in Saturdays game, fans in Pocatello are chomping at the bit.

Idaho coach Paul Petrino calls the game a state championship showdown!

The Vandals return to the Big Sky and Idaho States early season success have made this an event. More than 10,000 seats have been sold in the 12,000 seat arena and the remaining tickets are going fast. Nothing sells like rivalry!

If you can't make it to Pocatello for the game we'll have all; the action on Sports Radio 630 The Fan 2:30p.m. pregame 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
