Lexus Williams of the Boise State men's basketball team was the hero when the Broncos played Oregon in Eugene earlier this season.

His 47 foot half court heave at the buzzer was the game winner as the Broncos snapped the Ducks 43 game home win streak against non conference opponents.

Last night Boise State was at home trying to protect a 23 game home winning streak against non conference foes as Grand Canyon of the Western Athletic Conference came to town.

The Antelopes were picked to win the WAC and at 7-2 game the 9-1 Broncos everything they could handle. Grand Canyon was up 36-30 at the half and Boise State didn't enjoy it's first lead until midway through the second half.

Once again, with time running out in regulation Boise State found it's self down by three points and with 3 seconds to play, Lexus Williams uncorked a three, tickled the twine and the game went to overtime.

Unlike Oregon it wasn't a game winner but rather a game extender for not one by two overtimes.

Boise State took a 7 point lead in the second OT and held on for an 85-80 win to go 10-1.

Chandler Hutchison once again led the way with 27 points and 11 rebounds, just another average double-double for Hutch.

Boise State found a way to win a game maybe they shouldn't have and that's what makes head coach Leon Rice so excited.

However, not much time to recover as the Broncos head to Dallas for a showdown with SMU Monday night on ESPNU.

Coach Rice saying he's tired and pointing out he didn't even play any minutes.
