Prep Football Semi-Final Friday

Then there was one. Just one SIC 5A team remains in the Idaho high school football playoffs. That one team however is the defending state champion and undefeated Rocky Mountain Grizzlies.

Rocky Mountain, ranked No.1 at 10-0 and riding a 22 game win streak will host the Rigby Trojans 8-1. Rigby beat Eagle 56-28 in the quarter finals while Rocky Mountain topped Timberline 33-20.

Borah and Mountain View lost the Highland and Couer d'Alene respectively, those two teams collide Friday up north.

4A valley teams fared better with Kuna, Middleton and Nampa all advancing to the semi finals Friday. Kuna will host Middleton at 7 pm and Nampa will entertain Blackfoot with a 6 pm kickoff.

In 3A Homedale is the lone Treasure Valley survivor and they will host Timberlake Saturday at 1 pm. Both teams are unbeaten, Timberlake at 9-0 and Homedale 10-0.
