It's showtime for the Boise State men's basketball team as they open Mountain West Conference action Wednesday night by hosting Colorado State at 7:30 p.m.

Colorado State leads the overall series 10-9 and there is never a dull minute when these two collide.

The last seven meetings between the Rams and Broncos have been decided by seven points or fewer. Last season Chandler Hutchison hit a buzzer-beating three to give Boise State the 74-73 win on Dec. 31, 2016 at Taco Bell Arena and then followed it up with a 79-76 road victory in Fort Collins, Colo., on Jan. 31, 2017.

Boise State finished the non conference season 10-2 while the Rams went 7-6. BSU is 7-0 at home this year.

Colorado State has won three-straight games including a 68-66 buzzer-beating victory over Long Beach State (Dec. 23), the Rams and Broncos have one common opponent from the non-conference season, as Colorado State fell to Oregon on Dec. 8, 95-65, in Eugene. Boise State beat the Ducks on a half court three pointer at the buzzer in Eugene.

Boise State is 25-22 all-time in conference openers. The Broncos are 5-2 in conference openers under Leon Rice, including a 4-2 mark since joining the Mountain West.

Tip off tomorrow night is 7:30 p.m. with the game televised on the CBS Sports network.
