The College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University collide tonight in NAIA basketball, a rivalry that dates back 206 games!

The Coyotes and Nighthawks will meet for the 207th time, the oldest sports rivalry in the state and always one of the hottest.

The College of Idaho is favored tonight even though the game will be played on NNU's home court  The Yotes are 4-0 and ranked no.3 in the NAIA poll. NNU is not ranked and this is their season opener.

The College of Idaho leads the series 121-80 with five games counted as exhibition. The Coyotes are 4-1 in those games.

Tonight's game is part of the 11th Annual Mayors Cup. Each year the two teams play home and home games as part of the Mayors Cup Challenge.

Overall in Mayors Cup Play the Yotes are 7-3 in Caldwell and NNU 8-2 in Nampa. The Nighthawks have won four straight Mayors Cup showdowns in Nampa.
